Supreme x Comme Des Garçons SHIRT

Supreme and CDG drop their yearly collab

The annual collaboration between Supreme and Comme Des Garçons SHIRT released this week, featuring box logo tees and hoodies, along with sweaters, pants and jackets. As usual, the CDG collaboration put a twist on the tees and hoodies by reversing the logo and splitting it in half. The garments released in only two colorways, black and white. Along with the highly coveted bogos came an overcoat, leather jacket, skate pants, cotton sweater, painter pants, graphic shirt, button up shirt, and a chore coat.

Box logo items are notorious for having ridiculously high resale values. This collaboration most certainly lived up to these standards, with people selling their shirts for as much as $400 and their hoodies for as much as $800 on StockX. Those who were lucky enough to successfully check out were able to get past the extreme lag from Supreme’s servers. For around 10 minutes, the website was still showing items of the collaboration as still in stock, due to the sheer amount of orders coming through, clogging the system.

Thankfully, after many unsuccessful attempts on the site, I was able to purchase a black Split Box Logo Shirt in size large while standing in a school bathroom. Box logo shirts are always so hype and special that i was in disbelief that I was actually going to get my hands on one. Personally I am not the biggest fan of this year’s collab with CDG and find the split logo to be visually unappealing. However, I will be more than happy to exchange the product for a nice wad of cash.
